Residential Living Program
Creating a Sense of
Home, Belonging, and Support
Lifeworks currently operates 19 beautiful, community-based residences where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live with the support they need to thrive. Each home is unique, but all share the same core values: safety, independence, inclusion, and dignity.
Our dedicated staff provides around-the-clock care as needed tailored to each person’s needs, goals, abilities, and preferences. From assisting with daily living tasks to supporting personal growth, relationships, and recreation, Lifeworks fosters a home environment where residents feel empowered and valued.
While residential opportunities are not open for direct enrollment—individuals are referred to Lifeworks through state agencies such as the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), this vital program remains central to our mission and the people we serve. If you are a family member, guardian or staff member for a person who is interested in being served by Lifeworks, referrals to our residential programs including initial visits begin with the Department of Developmental Services and the Area Office of _________ who support the person who is interested in our services.
Our staff works diligently to help create a feeling of community integration as residents are encouraged to create lasting relationships with neighbors and friends. We visit local restaurants, stores, libraries, and other community sites, and often participate in special town events. Currently, Lifeworks provides community living in Attleboro, Canton, Foxboro, Natick, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole, Westwood, and Wrentham.
Lifeworks’ residential homes are more than just places to live. They are places to belong, connect, and flourish. Each home reflects the choices of those we serve, their lifestyles and how we support their needs.
